Police investigate stabbing in Halifax / masked man with a hammer in Bedford

At approximately 10:02 pm police responded to the 200 block of Lacewood Drive in Halifax to the report of a male at that location who had been stabbed.

Members attended and located a 22 year old male suffering from multiple injuries which were not life threatening.

The incident is reported to have happened elsewhere and at this time the details are limited. It is unknown if the suspect and victim are known to each other.

At approximately 10:19 hours police responded to a weapons call in the area of Maple Street and Ford Street in Bedford.

A man wielding a hammer and wearing a mask was reported to be in the street in this area.

Officers arrived and located the 27 year old man who was taken into police custody and will be making a morning court appearance in Halifax Court charged with several weapons related offences, as well as breach of court conditions.
