The General Investigation Section (GIS) of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is investigating an attempted arson that occurred in Lakeside last night.
At approximately 9:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a complaint of a Molotov cocktail being thrown at a residence on Nicholson Dr.
in Lakeside. A preliminary investigation has determined that the cocktail was thrown at the residence which caused a small fire that put itself out. Two occupants of the house were not injured and we able to call police.
The investigation is currently ongoing. Police do not believe this is a random act and there is no danger or risk to the public.
Investigators are asking anyone who has any information concerning this incident to contact them at 902-490-5180.
