Police investigate thefts from downtown hotel vending machines

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying several men suspected of stealing from hotel vending machines in downtown Halifax

Since early June, officers have responded to nine reports of thefts from vending machines. These thefts have all occurred at different locations throughout the downtown core. In each incident, the suspects are forcibly breaking into the machines, stealing products and money.

Surveillance video was recovered at the scene of two of the incidents, showing individuals believed to be involved in these thefts. Police are releasing pictures taken from the video and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
