RCMP are currently on scene of a train derailment in West River Station.

At 1:57 p.m., RCMP received a call that a train had left the tracks near 180 Lansdown Road.

There were two people on board the train and no reports of any injuries. Some containers are on their side and are believed to contain propane. They are not leaking at this time.

RCMP, EMO, Department of the Environment and local Fire Services are on scene and continue to investigate.
