Assault with a weapon (Updated) 

UPDATE – Assault with a Weapon – Halifax.

Late today, 16th of June, Halifax Regional Police charged a 39 year old female from Halifax, with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose​ (knife).​

The female has been released with conditions and will appear in Halifax Court on the 20th of August.​ All other persons originally arrested have been released without charges.​ ​

Police are not looking for any other suspects at this time.​

Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred earlier this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 1:25 a.m. patrol members responded to the McDonalds restaurant on Kempt Road in Halifax to a report of an altercation in the parking lot involving pedestrians and vehicles.

At 1:30 a.m. members located a 25 year old female suffering from stab wounds at the QE II Hospital. ​ Investigators learned she was involved in the original altercation in the McDonalds parking lot.​ Investigators also learned of a second disturbance that occurred prior to 1:25 a.m. at a business in the 3200 block of Kempt Road.

Two males and two females are currently in police custody.

Forensic Identification members are currently on scene at the McDonalds restaurant on Kempt Road and in the 3200 block of Kempt road. The victim remains in hospital seeking treatment for non-life threatening injuries.​

Police investigating robbery

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred earlier this morning in Halifax.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning a 64 year old​ male reported being robbed in the 2000 block of Maynard Street in Halifax.​

The victim reports two females and one male threatened him with a crosswalk flag while demanding cash and his cell phone. The suspects obtained cash from the victim and fled southbound on Gottingen Street.​ The victim was uninjured during this incident.​

The suspects were described as two black females and one black male and believed to be in their mid 20`s.
