Police Investigate Weapons Call – Shooting (Dartmouth)

At 11:15 p.m. 4 May, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 20 block of Kennedy Drive, Dartmouth. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located a 24 year-old male from Dartmouth with a non-life threatening gun shot wound.

Officers were not able to locate the suspect at the time, however, police confirmed the suspect and victim are known to one another.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a Search Warrant at a residence also in the 20 block of Kennedy Drive and seized two firearms, a shotgun and handgun with ammunition. Investigators are actively searching for the suspect.
