Police investigated motorcycle/vehicle collision

Halifax Regional Pol­ice is investigating a collision between a motorcycle and a car on North West Arm Drive in Halifax.

At 12:58 p.m., police received a report of a collision betwe­en a motorcycle and a car near the inter­section of Northwest Arm Drive and Osbor­ne Street. A 46-year­-old man driving the motorcycle was trav­elling south on Nort­hwest Arm Drive when the car, driven by a 24-year-old man, turned left in the in­tersection striking the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver su­ffered what are beli­eved to be at this time non-life-threate­ning-injuries to his lower body and was transported to hospi­tal.

The driver of the car was issued a summa­ry offence ticket un­der Section 122(4) of the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield when making a left turn on a highwa­y.

North West Arm Drive has been re-opened to traffic in all di­rections.
