Police are investigating two calls of similar suspicious circumstances that occurred over the last month.
The first incident occurred on January 15 at approximately 3 p.m. on Everette Street in Dartmouth. A woman pulled up alongside two boys and beckoned to them. The boys didn’t know the woman and quickly walked away. The woman drove away in an unknown direction.
The second incident occurred on February 1 at approximately 8 a.m. on Willett Street in Halifax. A woman pulled up alongside a boy and offered him a drive. The boy didn’t know the woman, and he refused the drive and continued walking. The woman drove away, heading down Willett Street.
The woman is described as white with a tanned complexion. She was driving a blue/grey older-model four-door car with brown leather interior.
We commend the boys for doing the right thing by refusing to get into the vehicle, leaving the area and telling a trusted adult about the incident.
Police are asking the woman or anyone with information about either incident or video from the area to contact police. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or via the P3 Tips App.
