Police Investigating Assault with a Weapon

Police are currently investigating an assault with a weapon that took place this morning in Halifax.

At 3:48 a.m., police responded to 1181 Hollis Street, Halifax (Westin Hotel) to a report of a man who had been assaulted with an edged weapon. The victim, an 18-year-old man was treated for non-life threatening injuries by EHS.  A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident. The victim and man in custody are known to one another.
