Police are investigating a robbery and theft of motor vehicle that occurred in Halifax.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a robbery in progress in the 1500 block of Lower Water Street. Victim was approached by lone male suspect, who produced a knife and stole victim’s vehicle, described as a gold-colored 2009 Toyota Camry, bearing Nova Scotia license plate GML055.
Suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, with dark-colored hair and eyes. Vehicle last viewed crossing the MacDonald Bridge, heading into Dartmouth. Suspect failed to stop vehicle for police, and pursuit concluded for public safety reasons.
