RCMP release:
Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Aberdeen.
On November 27, at approximately 8:14 a.m., RCMP, EHS and fire services responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 11100 block of Hwy. 105. Officers learned a westbound Hyundai Sonata left the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a tree.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 62-year-old man from Mabou, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash and Hwy. 105 was closed for several hours. It has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
