Police investigating fatal truck-van collision

RCMP release:

East Hants District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in South Rawdon.

On July 15, at approximately 11:50 a.m., East Hants District RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a truck and a van at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and South Rawdon Rd.

The driver of the van, a 25-year-old man from Colchester County, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The truck’s driver and passenger, of the Truro area, reported minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours as the RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (CARS) attended the scene.

East Hants District RCMP continues to investigate, with assistance from CARS and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
