Police Investigating Homicide At Clayton Park Strip Mall

Update 9:25am: Unconfirmed reports suggest the victim was a performer at Winston’s Pub, who was shot while smoking outside of the establishment.  Social media circles also suggesting the vicitim was the owner of a tattoo shop in Downtown Halifax.

The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit is currently investigating a
homicide in Halifax.
 
At 2:08 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the Clayton Park
Shopping Center located at 278 Lacewood Drive after receiving a call
that someone had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located an injured
man who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation
indicates that the victim had just left an establishment when he was
shot.
 
The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information about
this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016. Anonymous tips can
be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477),
submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip
– Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
