Police investigating indecent act involving schoolchildren in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police is investigating an indecent act that took place on June 23 in Dartmouth. 
 
At 3 p.m., two 13-year-old girls were walking home from their school bus stop at the intersection of Waverley Road and Craigburn Drive. As they walked along Craigburn Drive, they observed a man masturbating standing next to a tree. The man did not approach the girls and did not say anything to them. The girls ran away and reported the incident to their parents. Police were contacted yesterday and the investigation is ongoing.
 
The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties with a muscular build and short dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was shirtless and was wearing a pair of grey shiny sweat pants that were down around his knees.
