Police Investigating Indecent Act On Harvey Street

Police are  looking for a suspect after an indecent act was reported yesterday.

At about 10:00 pm last evening a female was walking alone on Harvey Street in Halifax when she was approached by a male. The male walked up to her from behind and asked if she knew what time it was. When she turned and replied she noted the male had his pants open and was exposing himself to her. She quickly turned and continued walking, the male went the other way but then turned and began to follow her again. The female began running and eventually got to her residence and contacted police.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'7" tall, slim build, late twenties or early thirties with some dark freckles on his face, he was wearing a black toque. His hair that was showing was in braids. He had on a black puffy jacket and dark jeans.

The area was checked by officers but the suspect could not be located. The file is still under investigation.
