Police Investigating Late Night Robbery Attempt

At approximately 1:20 this morning, a female victim reported to Halifax Regional Police that at a male had attempted to steal her duffel bag while she was walking in the area of Duffus and Barrington Streets in Halifax. The victim explained that she noticed the suspect walking very closely behind her. The male then grabbed onto the strap of the bag that was over her shoulder and tried to pull it off.  The victim was able to run from the area with nothing being stolen from her. The suspect is described as a white male with glasses, approximately 20 years of age, standing 6 ft 1 inch tall, weighing 170 lbs. Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
