Police investigating morning shooting in West End Halifax

Halifax Regional Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that took place earlier today in Halifax.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m., prompted officers to respond to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Connaught Avenue near Roslyn Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence indicating gunfire in the area. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported thus far.

In response to the ongoing investigation, Connaught Avenue Northbound was closed to traffic between Bayers Road and Edgewood Avenue, but has since reopened.

As the investigation is still in its early stages, the public can anticipate a continued police presence in the area as authorities work to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
