Police Investigating Bank Robberies

 

 
UPDATED Jan 18/12 5:30am Police have released this photo of a bank robbery suspect on Tuesday.
 
At 3:59 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the Scotia Bank located at 255 Lacewood Drive. A man entered the bank and handed a note to staff demanding money. The man fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white male, approximately 30-years-old, 6’ tall, 250 lbs. and has a bruise around his right eye. At the time of the incident he was wearing black dress shirt with a black t shirt underneath, blue jeans, a black ball hat and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
 
At 5:55 pm, police responded to a robbery at the TD Bank located at 590 Portland Street in Dartmouth. A man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The man fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white male, approximately 30-years-old, 6’ tall, 250 lbs. and has a bruise around his right eye. At the time of the incident he was wearing black dress shirt with a black t shirt underneath, blue jeans a black ball hat  and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
 
As a result of the media release and investigative leads the suspect in the robberies has been identified. Members of the Integrated General Investigation Section are actively searching for the suspect.
 
If the suspect is observed by a member of the public they are advised not to approach him but to contact police.
