Officers assigned to the HRM/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating a robbery that occurred on Monday.
At 11:25 a.m., police responded to a robbery at the Cove Market located at 565 Herring Cove Road. A man entered the store, produced a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes from the clerk. He fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money and some cigarettes. The clerk was not injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a white man in his early twenties with a slim build, short light coloured hair, clean shaven with a short patch of hair on his chin. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket with the hood up and possibly a pair of black and gray camouflage pants.
