Police investigating serious assault in West Chezzetcook

On April 27 just before 5 p.m., Halifax District RCMP received a call from a 24-year-old man who had been stabbed at a residence in West Chezzetcook.

The investigation determined that the suspect entered the residence and an argument took place.​ The suspect then stabbed the victim before leaving the scene in anolder model blue Chevy Cobalt. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

On April 29, at approximately 6 p.m. Jeffrey Walter Wagner, 22, of Lake Echo, was arrested without incident. ​ He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face the following charges:

  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Break and Enter
  • ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​Assault with a Weapon

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
