Police investigating serious crash on Prospect Road

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a serious collision that occurred on Prospect Rd. in Goodwood.

On April 14, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision on Prospect Rd. in Goodwood. RCMP officers learned that a grey Hyundai Kona and a black Subaru Impreza were travelling east on Prospect Rd. and a red Acura ILX was travelling west on Prospect Rd., when the ILX collided first with the Kona and then with the Impreza. The Impreza came to rest in a ditch and, both the Kona and the ILX came to rest in the road.

The driver, and sole occupant, of the ILX, a 33-year-old Westphal man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by LifeFlight.

The driver of the Kona, a 59-year-old Halifax woman, was uninjured.

The driver, and sole occupant, of the Impreza, a 67-year-old Lower Prospect man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Prospect Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
