Police are currently on scene investigating a shooting that happened earlier this morning in Dartmouth.
At 5:46 a.m. police responded to the area of Lakefront Drive and Portland Street after receiving complaints of multiple gun shots being heard. Upon arrival police learned that a man was sleeping in a vehicle which that had two of its windows shot out. The man was not injured and it is believed the suspect fled in the direction of Joffre Street.
The investigation is in its early stages and officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section are attending the scene.
