Police Investigating Stabbing

From HRPD:
Halifax Regional Police are currently investigating a stabbing that
took place this morning at Halifax West High School.

At 10:18 a.m., police were called to a disturbance at the school.
Additional information was received that one person had been stabbed in
one of the classrooms. Upon arrival officers located a student being
tended to by staff. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are
believed to be non life-threatening. A suspect, who is also a student,
was arrested and the weapon used in the assault was recovered.

At this time the investigation is in its early stages, however, charges
are expected.
