Police investigating two additional incidents in the area of Farrell Street

Halifax Regional Police is investigating two additional incidents that occurred last night in the Farrell Street area of Dartmouth.

 

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a 41-year-old man was walking in the area of Farrell and Catherine Streets when he was approached by two men who began calling him names. One of the suspects tried to punch the man but was unsuccessful. The man ran to a nearby building and called police. The first suspect was described as a black man, balding with facial hair and a heavy build, wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. The second suspect was described as a black man with a heavy build and a clean crew cut with shaved sides, wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.

 

At approximately 11:28 p.m., a 27 year-old-man was walking in the area of Farrell Street and Windmill Road when he was approached by two men who asked him for a lighter and cigarettes. One of the suspects attempted to grab the man’s shirt as he walked by them. The suspects yelled obscenities at the man as he continued to walk away. The man called police when he arrived home. The suspects were described as black men with a larger build, one with facial hair. One of the suspects was wearing black pants and black sweater, and the other was wearing a grey sweater and tan shorts.

 

Police are exploring the possibility that these incidents may be related to a robbery that was previously released that occurred last night at approximately 11 p.m. in the area of Farrell Street and Windmill Road.
