Police lay charges following stabbing at Millwood High, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Police have laid weapons-related charges following stabbing incident at Millwood High School yesterday afternoon. On Wednesday, April 29th at approximately 3:30 p.m., Halifax District RCMP and officers with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division responded to a 911 call of a stabbing in the rear parking lot of Millwood High School.

On Wednesday, April 29th at approximately 3:30 p.m., Halifax District RCMP and officers with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division responded to a 911 call of a stabbing in the rear parking lot of Millwood High School.

Preliminary investigation determined a staff member of the school found an 18-year-old male student with stab wounds that were not considered life-threatening. A suspect was arrested and taken into police custody without incident at short time later in Middle Sackville.

Twenty-year-old Nicholas MacDonald of Lawrencetown is charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace. The accused remains in custody. He is appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
