Halifax Regional Police have laid charges in relation to the Petro Canada robbery yesterday morning in Dartmouth
On November 16, 2016 at approximately 8:15 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Petro Canada located at 240 Victoria Road, Dartmouth. Staff stated that a woman entered the store, produced a knife and demanded cash. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot. The employee was not injured.
Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested a person of interest yesterday at approximately 10 a.m. Kristine Marcia Morin, 24 and of Dartmouth, was remanded on charges of robbery, possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon.
During the course of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant yesterday at a residence in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive, Dartmouth and located an unsecured firearm. A 17-year-old male youth from Dartmouth is charged with various weapons offenses and breaching his conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court today.
