Police looking for suspect after woman sexually assaulted by same man more than once

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are asking for the public’s help identifying a man in connection with a number of sexual assaults in Halifax.

Yesterday at 2:30 p.m. a woman got off a bus on Coburg Road near Larch Street and was walking away when she was grabbed around the waist. She turned around and recognized the person as being the same man who had approached and touched her three times earlier and Investigators believe the touching is for a sexual purpose. As a result of the investigation, a sketch of the suspect is being released in hopes that someone will recognize him. He is described as a white man, in his mid to late twenties, 5’7” with black hair and an average build.

Anyone recognizing the man in the attached sketch or with information in relation to these incidents is asked to call Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
