Police Make Arrest after Morning Stabbing at NSCC Akerley Campus

Halifax Regional Police has arrested a man in relation to a weapons complaint this morning at the Nova Scotia Community College Akerley Campus in Dartmouth.

At 11:54 a.m., several patrol units, including members of the Emergency Response Team, responded to a report of a man who been stabbed following an altercation with a man known to him. Officers attended the scene and located a man suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to hospital for treatment of non- life-threatening injuries.

At 11:57 a.m., officers took a man into custody without incident. At this time, no charges have been laid in relation to this incident. Officers remain on-scene and continue to investigate.
