Police Make Arrest in Stabbing Incident

 

Investigators in the Halifax Regional Police/RCMP General Investigation
Section have a man in custody in relation to the stabbing at a downtown
Halifax parkade.
 
On March 3 at 4:06 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured
person at a parkade located at 1554 Hollis Street. Officers located an
injured man on the Granville Street level of the parkade. The
28-year-old male victim, who had been stabbed, was taken to the QEII
Health Science Centre with what were described as life-threatening
injuries. He remains in hospital at this time, however, his condition
has improved to the point that investigators were able to interview him
last week.
 
Investigators also identified a person of interest in this file last
week and have been making efforts to locate and arrest him. The
31-year-old Halifax man turned himself in today at approximately 1:40
p.m. at the police office located on Mellor Avenue in Dartmouth. He is
currently in custody and investigators are questioning him in relation
to this incident.
