Police make arrests in Lower Sackville robbery, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have arrested three suspects in relation to the recent Lower Sackville robbery and the search for additional suspects continues.

At approximately 8:50 p.m. on December 29th, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a robbery which had just occurred at a residence on Lennox Drive. Six individuals, five of whom were wearing bandanas to disguise their appearance, entered the home and assaulted a 17-year-old male with a golf club and a knife and then robbed him of a number of electronic items. The suspects fled through the back yard prior to police arriving. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The victim and one suspect are known to each other. This was not a random act.

On December 30th, a 17-year-old male from Halifax was arrested at a Halifax residence without incident and charged with the following:

* Break & Enter
* Robbery
* Assault with a Weapon
* Possession of a Dangerous Weapon

He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Youth Court on January 8th, 2015.

On January 1st, a 17-year-old male and 14 year-old female were arrested at a Halifax residence without incident. The male has been charged with:

* Break & Enter
* Robbery
* Assault with a Weapon
* Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
* Uttering Threats x 2
* Breach of Probation

The female has been charged with:

* Break & Enter
* Robbery
* Assault
* Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
* Wearing a Disguise with Intent

Both youths appeared in Halifax Youth Court today. The male has been remanded until January 6th, 2015, the female has been released on a Recognizance and scheduled to reappear in court on January 22nd, 2015.

There are three remaining suspects. The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing with the investigation.
