Police need public’s help in locating Bedford woman

Forty-nine-year-old Josefina Vergara Cruz was last seen on October 1 at her residence in Bedford.

Forty-nine-year-old Josefina Vergara Cruz was last seen on October 1 at her residence in Bedford. She was reported missing on October 9 when a neighbour became concerned after not seeing her. Josefina is from Argentina, speaks with a Spanish accent and is described as white, 5’2”, 125 lbs. with dark hair. Her vehicle, which has not been located, is a 2007 grey Nissan Versa with Nova Scotia License plate EMY 119. Josefina has gone missing before and has been located in the Annapolis Valley or staying at hotels in HRM. Investigators have learned that Josephina recently travelled to Montreal, however, the exact date of her visit or whether she is still there is not known.

The HRP/RCMP Integrated Vice Unit is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Bedford woman. Forty-nine-year-old Josefina Vergara Cruz was last seen on October 1 at her residence in Bedford.

She was reported missing on October 9 when a neighbour became concerned after not seeing her.

Josefina is from Argentina, speaks with a Spanish accent and is described as white, 5’2”, 125 lbs. with dark hair.

Her vehicle, which has not been located, is a 2007 grey Nissan Versa with Nova Scotia License plate EMY 119.

Josefina has gone missing before and has been located in the Annapolis Valley or staying at hotels in HRM. At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that Josefina has met with foul play, however, she does requires medication and without it, may become confused and pose a risk to herself.

Police request that Josefina, or anyone with information on her whereabouts, call Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016 or their local police department.
