At approximately 11:50 p.m. police responded to a report of an unwanted person at the Halifax Transit terminal on Nantucket Avenue.

The man assaulted the officer when he was asked to leave the premise and was subsequently arrested.

A 32-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth court at a later date to face charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
