Police officer bitten by man during arrest
A police officer from the Bridgewater Police Service (BPS), who was assisting the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Unit (SCEU) was injured during the arrest of a man wanted on a warrant. The warrant was related to previous charges that occurred in Queens County, including:

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

Assault with a Weapon
-
Forcible Confinement
-
Uttering Threats
-
Operating a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited

Failure to comply with Condition of a Recognizance (3 counts)
The arrest occurred on November 20 and was the result of an investigation involving the South Shore Integrated SCEU and Bridgewater Police Service. Police had been attempting to locate and arrest 23-year-old Lucas Cory Greek of Conquerall Mills for numerous offences in addition to the warrant. Police located Greek in Bridgewater and placed him under arrest. He resisted arrest and assaulted a BPS officer by biting him. After continuing to struggle with police, Greek was taken into custody. The BPS officer was taken to the local hospital for treatment.
In relation to the arrest on November 20, additional charges of Obstruction (Resisting Arrest) and Assaulting a Police Officer were laid. Greek was held overnight in RCMP custody and brought to court on Thursday November 21. He was subsequently remanded to November 25 when he will return to Bridgewater Provincial Court.
