(Updated) Police on scene of train/pedestrian coll­ision

Update: Halifax Regional Pol­ice have cleared the scene but are conti­nuing the investigation into a collision between a train and pedestrian resulting in the death of a woman

Halifax Regional Pol­ice is currently on scene and investigating a coll­ision between a train and pedestrian res­ulting in the death of a woman.

At approximately 9:1­8 a.m., police recei­ved a report of a co­llision between a tr­ain travelling towar­ds Halifax and a wom­an on the track. The collision occurred near the 270 block of Rocky Lake Drive.

A woman was pronounc­ed dead at the scene. The investigation into the cause of th­is tragic incident will continue on scene throughout the day.

Halifax Regional Pol­ice is asking anyone with information ab­out this incident to contact police at 902-490-5016.
