Halifax Regional Police is currently on scene and investigating a collision between a train and pedestrian resulting in the death of a woman.
At approximately 9:18 a.m., police received a report of a collision between a train travelling towards Halifax and a woman on the track. The collision occurred near the 270 block of Rocky Lake Drive.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the cause of this tragic incident will continue on scene throughout the day.
Halifax Regional Police is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 902-490-5016.
