The HRP/RCMP Integrated High-Risk Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) is responsible for executing warrants within HRM as well as other areas, and facilitates requests from Parole and Probation Services.
Every two months, the team is creating a new Wanted List made up of people with outstanding arrest warrants whom police have been unable to locate. Whether the people turn themselves in, or we receive information on their whereabouts from the public, the goal is to locate and arrest each person on the list.
The last list consisted of eight people, three of whom were arrested and another two whom investigators were able to determine had moved outside of our jurisdiction. Police would like to thank everyone who provided information.
The new list is available on the Internet at www.halifax.ca/police/HeatList. A release will be issued and the Internet will be updated when a person on the list is arrested.
HRM Partners in Policing remind citizens not to approach these individuals or try to take matters into their own hands.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016, RCMP at 244-7208 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
