Officers are asking the public to help identify a suspect related to an assault earlier this month on a Halifax Transit bus driver.
On July 8 at 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the bus terminal at 24 Nantucket Avenue in Dartmouth for a disturbance. A 44-year-old male bus driver attempted to intervene during a fight between two females but was quickly surrounded by a group of male youths. Three of the males assaulted the driver by knocking him to the ground and kicking him in the face before they fled the area on foot.
An 18-year-old Sackville man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of recognizance while a 20-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in August to face a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
