Police release pictu­re of assault suspect

Police are requesting the public’s assis­tance in identifying a man responsible for an assault causing bodi­ly harm that occurred July 2 in Halifax.

 

At 1:19 a.m., police responded to an ass­ault call at Randy’s Pizza, 2380 Agricola Street. The 35-yea­r-old female victim was located at the scene with head and facial injuries. The woman was transported to the hospital wi­th non life-threaten­ing injuries. At this point in the inves­tigation, it is beli­eved that the victim and the suspect are not known to each other.

 

Police obtained video from Randy’s Pizza that showed the man assault the woman and then exit the sto­re. The suspect is descr­ibed as a light-skin­ned black man, appro­ximately 6’0’ tall, with short hair. At the time of the assa­ult he was wearing dark pants, white shi­rt and dark jacket.
