Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with an attempted robbery and robbery that that occurred last night in Halifax.
On September 22 at 9 p.m., staff of the Guardian Pharmacy located at 205 Herring Cove Road were getting ready to close for the evening, when a white man over 6’, wearing a black sweater, black fabric over his face and sweatpants with stripes attempted to push open the main doors to gain entry. He then left the area on foot.
Shortlythereafter at 9:14 p.m., a man entered the Petro Canada Service Station located at 231 Herring Cove Road, holding a knife in his hand and demanded cash and cigarettes. He fled on foot after obtaining a small quantity of each product. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery. Patrol members along with K-9 team searched to area for the suspect.
The suspect is believed to be the same suspect involved in the Guardian Pharmacy incident. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, wearing a black sweater, black ski mask, grey Adidas sweatpants with stripes on lower leg and sneakers.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about this man’s identity o.r these incidents to contact police at 490-5020.
