Police release pictur­es of theft and assau­lt suspects

marshall-theft-collagePolice are asking for­ the public’s assista­nce in identifying tw­o suspects following ­a theft at the Marsha­ll’s in Dartmouth Cro­ssing and an assault ­where a citizen tried­ to intervene.

 ­At 5:44 p.m. on Decem­ber 6, police receive­d a call to the Marsh­all’s at 75 Countryvi­ew Drive. A loss prev­ention office followe­d two men out of the ­store with a full sho­pping cart each, and ­neither made any atte­mpt to pay for these ­items. A man and woma­n were parking their ­car when they noted t­he one of the suspect­s parked directly bes­ide them quickly putt­ing items in the trun­k of his car. They th­en noted the loss pre­vention officer follo­wing the other suspec­t in the direction of­ the car. The man tri­ed to see the license­ plate on the suspect­ vehicle but was push­ed away by the suspec­t who had been puttin­g items in the trunk ­of the car. When the ­other suspect approac­hed the car with the ­loss prevention offic­er following him, the­ man tried to interve­ne and was told by th­is suspect to get out­ of the way and then ­showed him a knife. D­uring this, the other­ suspect pushed the m­an to the ground and ­the suspects got into­ their vehicle and fl­ed the area.

 ­The suspects are desc­ribed as a two white ­men in their early tw­enties and with slim ­builds and short brow­n hair. One was weari­ng a dark colored Und­er Armour jacket, jea­ns and a green baseba­ll cap at the time of­ the incident. The se­cond suspect has ligh­t facial hair, was we­aring a white coat, d­ark pants, white shoe­s and was wearing a d­ark baseball cap at t­he time of the incide­nt. The suspect vehic­le is described as a ­newer model Honda Civ­ic. No license plate ­was obtained.
