Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man believed to be responsible for a theft from a local grocery store.
On October 22, 2016 at approximately 4:15 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a theft at the Barrington Street location of the Atlantic Superstore. A man had broken through a glass window of the Smoke Shop, at which time a quantity of cigarettes was taken. The man fled the scene and was last seen heading north in the direction of Barrington Street.
The suspect is described as a white man, between 5’10”and 6’ tall, approximately 175 lbs., with brown scruffy facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans, white running shoes, a grey hoodie with a large black stripe on the front, and a grey beanie cap at the time of the incident.
