Police are asking the public for assistance in locating Jacob Matthew Lilly who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

At approximately 3:34 a.m. on July 7, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1500 block of Grafton Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, it was determined that a man had been assaulted with an edged weapon. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to the hospital.

As a result of the investigation, a Canada-wide warrant was issued today for the arrest of 21-year-old Jacob Matthew Lilly of Halifax. Lilly is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon. Police have made all efforts to locate this man and believe he is aware that police are looking to arrest him.​

Lilly is described as 5’8,” 175 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
