At approximately 3:30 pm yesrterday, Halifax Regional Police responded the area of College and Summer Streets in Halifax for a baby locked in a unattended vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, a minivan, and observed an infant in a child seat. The officers did a quick check and could not locate any adults in the immediate area. Officers observed that the crying infant was covered in perspiration and, in distress. They broke a window and removed the baby. EHS attended and paramedics checked the child. Department of Community Services was contacted and attended the scene. The investigation is continuing.
