Police respond to a suspicious vehicle fire – Bedford

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred last evening.

At 9:40 pm Police responded to a suspicious vehicle fire in the 100 block of Hammonds Plains Road in Bedford.

The unoccupied vehicle was fully engulfed once officers arrived. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded and extinguished the fire.

Witnesses describe observing a white male believed to be in his early twenties running from the scene. The suspect is further described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches in height, having a medium build, with short hair, wearing a black jacket, white shirt, black pants and sneakers

The suspect was last observed running into a pathway that leads towards Bedford Hills Drive.
