Police respond to reports of shots fired.

At 9:31 p.m. Police responded to the area of the 3400 block of Barrington St. in Halifax after receiving multiple calls of upwards of two shots fired.​ It was also reported that a dark SUV may have sped away from the area.​ Multiple officers along with Halifax Regional Police K9 searched the area but were unable to locate anything.

At this time police are still continuing a preliminary investigation.

Police have charged a Halifax man in relation to an assault that occurred in Halifax over the weekend.
