Police Respond to Weapons Complaint

At approx. 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 block of Forbes St, Halifax, for a call of a female that had been assaulted.

There was also information a firearm may have been involved. Police attended and located an adult female who had been assaulted by a male known to her. She was taken to the QEII with non-life threatening injuries.

The male suspect was believed to be inside an apt in a building on Forbes St. At approx. 9:00pm members of the Halifax Regional Police arrested an adult male for Assault and Weapons charges. ​ All streets are reopened.

The investigation is continuing.
