On Saturday, May 12 at approx. 1120 hrs, Halifax Regional Police attempted to stop a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign in the area of Bayview Rd and Woodbank Terrace, Halifax.
The officer activated their emergency lights and siren and the driver did not pull over, the officer did not pursue the vehicle.
Police subsequently located the vehicle a short distance away, it had collided with a house in the 0-100 Block of Clayton Park Drive, Halifax.
The driver, who was the lone occupant, fled the scene on foot, leaving the scene of the accident. A K9 track was attempted, however the suspect was not located.
No one was injured in the home.
The suspect is described as black male, 20-30 years-old, approximately 6 ft tall, he was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans at the time of the incident.
