Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and the driver involved in a fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.
At approximately 5:50 a.m. police responded to a report of a fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision near 350 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. The pedestrian, a 57-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the collision did not remain at the scene of the accident, and there is no vehicle or driver description at this time.
Investigators from the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, Accident Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section are conducting the investigation which is ongoing.

Pleasant Street was closed to traffic but has since been reopened.
