Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a break and enter that occurred yesterday morning in Halifax.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. police were called to a report of a break and enter that had just occurred at a residence in the 0-100 block of Flamingo Drive in Halifax. The home owner, an 81-year-old woman who was home at the time, discovered a man in her residence. When the home owner asked the man what he was doing in her residence he left and fled the area on foot. The home owner discovered that the man had taken cash and a number of pieces of jewelry that held significant sentimental value for her.
The suspect is described as white man with a moustache approximately 30-40 years old. He was wearing a black jacket, black ball cap and blue jeans.
