Police Seize Bath Salts in Nova Scotia

On April 22, 2016, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance from Pictou County District RCMP and the New Glasgow Regional Police, executed a search warrant at home in Linacy.

Police seized a quantity of MDPV, a synthetic drug commonly referred to as bath salts, marijuana, one restricted firearm and a quantity of ammunition.

Tayler Richard Malcolm, a 24-year-old man and Danielle Rose Noade, a 23-year-old woman, both from Pictou County, were arrested without incident.

They have been remanded into custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Monday April 25, 2016. Both are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, several weapons-related charges, and failing to comply with court orders.
